This main part of the cottage was built in the late Regency period, housing the original kitchen and staff for serving Rutland Lodge which adjoins it. Access between the two, is through a glass door from the hallway in the cottage into the lodge's dining room, allowing easy access for both kitchens to be utilised to cook meals for larger groups people.

 

There is a separate entrance hall to the side of the cottage which is bright due to the glass roof, large windows and door leading to the garden, this is also where the downstairs WC can be found. The Cottage also features a separate dining area, connected to the kitchen, which benefits from the gentle morning sun and has seating for ten. The kitchen and dining area are located just off the entrance hall allowing convenient access to the rear terrace and outdoor dinning table. There is a professional Falcon gas range cooker along with a kenwood chef + bread maker.

Down the hall, on the left, you'll find the cosy sitting room which is filled by the sun until the afternoon and has an open fireplace for those colder winter nights. Following the hallway round and on the right is the billiard room, which was originally the main kitchen but now features a full size pool table and ambient lighting, and ahead is the single bedroom.

 

Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom with an ensuite, another double bedroom across the hallway and, a twin room across the stairs. The main shower-room, tiled in travertine marble, is connected to the second bedroom, across the hall from the twin room.

The garden is walled with tall trees to the rear making it totally private in summer.  The terrace immediately outside the kitchen gets the lovely early morning sun with relaxed seating as well as a table with chairs for you to enjoy breakfast and make the most of it. The trees provide shade during the summer then later, when the sun works its way round, the upper terrace receives the warm and pleasant late afternoon glow, perfect to sit in and enjoy a few drinks.
